Two words: Not Kid-Friendly (or is that 3?).
My mommies group went because of a fabulous exhibit on display about Picasso. But, it turns out, high quality art is not accessible to babies.
First, in order to push your stroller to the front door from the parking lot you have to walk way around the building. Otherwise you are either dragging your stroller up the steps or bulldozing your way through the grass (which I tried, not recommended, especially after rain).
Second, the museum cafe was quite tasty, but pricey and they don't exactly accommodate "minors" very well.
Third, after all that, you can not take your stroller into any of the galleries. I guess they are afraid that my umbrella stroller will somehow suddenly have the strength and capacity to knock over a bronze sculpture.
So take those 3 major things, then tack on the little details that matter to mommies (no changing table anywhere for one thing), and you have yourself a challenge.
But, knowledge is power! So if, one rainy afternoon you want to get some high society art in, just be armed properly. Don't eat there, and plan to bring your Ergo!
