Drive Thru Coffee

These are the things that you really need to know as a mom & no one has told you. Your child FINALLY falls asleep, after being up all night, and it is, of course, in the car. And you need your jolt of caffeine. But you don't want to wrestle the sleeping baby out of the car seat or, if you have a snap and go, in and out of a loud coffee shop. So what's a mommy to do? THE DRIVE THRU. (I know, I know, I was all about the environment too until C came along and waking him up became just painful.)

Here are some drive thru caffeine joints I know of. And think beyond McCafe:

1- Southern Mudd.
In the parking lot of Falconbridge shopping center where 54 meets 40 in Chapel Hill (by the Mardi Gras bowl).
6118 Farrington Rd
Parking Lot Coffee Kiosk

Chapel Hill, NC 27515

2- Bean & Barrel.
A bit more of a drive, but great quality coffee and lots of specialty drinks. They also have food (real food, not just scones!). Out near Governor's Village. They also have wine, bu
t not in the drive thru!
"Bean and Barrel is conveniently located in the Governors Village Shopping Center at the corner of Mt. Carmel Church Rd. and Governors Dr. Just 3 miles south of Franklin St."

3- Starbucks in RTP.
Grace Park
3608-400 Davis Drive
Morrisville, NC 27560

Imperial Corners
1119 Slater Rd
Durham, NC 27703
919-941-0482

(note that if you do decide to go into these Starbucks, that Starbucks does not, in general, have changing tables in their restrooms)

4- Local Latte.
Another hut, this time in Cole Park Plaza off of 15/501.
15-501 South Cole Park Plaza
Chapel Hill, NC 27516
(919) 624-2163

If you know of any more, send them my way!

I'll be adding that one to my list! I am actually near there frequently, so that is good to know. Frappucinos are great, but even better when I don't have to drag C out of the car.

Thanks for the tip!
