Photography Session Giveaway

It's been awhile since we've done a giveaway, and we're very excited about this one! If you are anything like Sarah C. and me, we are realizing more and more how fleeting our kids' childhood is and we're anxious to snap and document it all. So when a local photographer, Amy, got in touch with us offering her services we were thinking that one of you out there in blogland might feel the same way as us and love a photography session with a professional.

Amy owns and operates Amy Stern photography and you can check out her entire portfolio online at www.amystern.com. Her work is really beautiful. (And since I've tried my hand at getting down and dirty with my camera through the Mamarazzi class, I appreciate photography talent even more these days.)

So here's what you could get from this blog and from Amy Stern Photography: a free weekday photo shoot session of 1 hour and 1 free 8x10 of your choice to own and frame. You can buy prints to your heart's desire, of course. Cool, huh!? This is a huge value not only to your checkbook but also towards your family memories.

Entry is easy. Just leave us a comment telling us a sweet favorite family moment you have (it can be simple: I love starting my day by getting up in the morning, having coffee, and snuggling and reading books with C, for example), and you're entered. By the way, we're upping the ante by giving you extra entries for liking us on Facebook, Twitter, or Google Follow (1 extra entry per follow). Another extra entry if you like Amy Stern Photography Facebook page. Please indicate in your entry if you follow us or Amy on any of those platforms. Honor system.

We'll close the giveaway on Wednesday, September 7th at noon. As always, we pick our winners at random.

We took our daughter to a small farm/petting zoo one weekend last spring and had so much fun looking at all of the animals and going on a hayride. I remember thinking how happy I was to have this wonderful little family. I follow you on Facebook.

I'm looking forward to a sweet family moment sometime in the next 4 to 5 weeks. We're expecting our first child by the middle of October.

Good luck all!

Even though nighttime is chaotic in our house, I love when I go in and lay with my 2 year old son or 4 year old daughter while they are falling asleep. There is nothing like watching them and listening to them breathe as they fall asleep. It shows their pure peace and innocence. I follow you on Facebook. Thanks for doing what you do!

I love when we sit down at the table and my boys (ages 2 & 5) automatically hold their hands out to hold hands for grace. After saying "Amen", we all squeeze and say "Squeeeeeeze". :)

My favorite family moment was when my husband held our daughter for the first time and the way he looked at her. He had so much love in his eyes.
My favorite everyday family moments are when it's about bed time and my husband makes up songs for our 12 weeks old daughter and we all snuggle either in the bed or on the couch. He uses the melodies of everyday radio songs, but he changes the lyrics. For example, he uses Hot Chelle Rae and his song "Tonight Tonight". He changed it to "tonight, tonight, Haley is gonna sleep all through the night, tonight, tonight, Haley is gonna sleep all through the night. I don't know how she's gonna do it, but some how she'll get through it. Tonight, tonight, Haley is gonna sleep all through the night."
Apparently, it really works too. The one night he didn't sing to her she woke up at 2:30 am, but when he does she sleeps until 5-5:30 am.

My favorite family moment is our nightly race around our downstairs - our 2 year old hops on his tricycle and my husband and I take turns racing with him on his scooter. We say "1,2,3" and our son says "go, go, go, go!". I will always remember, even when he's a grown man, his giggles from these times. Also, I follow you on FB!

My favorite time of day is when I pick my son up from preschool. He says "what do we have in our lunch box today?" I then present him with his snack. While he sits and eats on the bench outside the school we discuss our days. It's a nice way to spend the time before going home. I also follow you on Facebook.

One of my favorite family moments is going outside after dinner and playing "tag" with our two boys (age 4 and 22 months). It's really just all of us running around in circles chasing each other, but the boys love and it and laugh hysterically! I follow you on facebook too!

As I boarded a plane this summer, I felt a surge of pure joy when I watched our 3 teens and 11 year old find their seats, help each other and others hoist their luggage into the overhead bins. Gone are the days of my husband and I carrying 3 car seats and a booster onto the plane!!

One sweet family moment is whenever my 2 year old daughter says "Mommy, Mommy!" and runs over to give me a hug. Another moment I can recall that was very sweet was when my older 2 sons went to the hospital to meet their baby sister.

A recent favorite moment is watching both my son (19 months) and my dog (80 pound lab) go down the new slide in my backyard together. They just love to play together all the time! ~Trish

My sweet moments are when I'm cooking and my 2 1/2 year old is 'helping'. I love our conversations while he's standing on a chair, by the counter, watching me. (I especially love that he's more likely to try what I'm cooking if he helps!) :)

I love when we all are just handing out in the living room together. The girls and I will bake or scrapbook together, but movies, tv, games or talking is something we can all do together

Enjoy the nightly performances that the girls put on just before bed. Our middle daughter usually requests "daddy jams" and the two big girls dance until their hearts are content. They pull us in and we're all dancing around the living room as only adults would with their little ones.
