My family loves Saxapahaw, too. (http://mominchapelhill.blogspot.com/2009/08/saxapahaw-summer-music-series.html) And, of course, on Friday nights Bynum is always a nice, small alternative. This not only seemed a bit extreme, but I feel this should be clear on their website so parents are aware when planning. I don't know anyone with a child under 5yrs old who doesn't carry snacks (and especially in the summer, drinks) with them for their kids. Nevertheless, I had always taken a picnic there without issue and it was always crowded...this year it has been very sparsely populated on Fridays - I don't know if this is related to the impractical food policy for families, or if everyone just realized that Saxapahaw is much more fun and family friendly!Susannoreply@blogger.com
